Developing a New Lupus Therapy

Dear Sophie, I hope this message finds you well. I am actually a 3rd year medical student on the east coast and am starting up a biotech company that is developing, among many things, a new therapy for Lupus. My business partners and I noticed that you were mentioned on the Wikipedia site as someone who supports Lupus related work and thought it would be great to reach out to you as someone who would be excited about our work. We are working with a form of light therapy that actually delivers specific wavelengths of light that are not sensitive for lupus patients. It has been shown to treat the systemic illness through a variety of light specific biological pathways. It's been used in humans and gone through several human trials and we are actually going to be redoing the research with a new device and getting FDA approval. We are hoping to commence human clinical trials within the next few months. We have been trying to garner support from as many people as possible including the Alliance for Lupus Research and Woody Johnson. We met with Mr. Johnson back in August at a lupus fundraiser and have gained tremendous support for our technology. I just gave a two-hour seminar on the therapy and what we're doing at my medical school this past week and really turned some heads. So we are very close to getting the whole thing off the ground. Last April i volunteered to go to Iraq, Busy, not much sleep and extremely hot not made better by the fact taht we had to wear tonnes of kit in the heat to. So after a pretty shit few months who do i hear that is in the naffi complex on the base where i served from the 1 and only Sophie Howard. Thought my chances of meeting her on such a big base were small to say the least, but i managed to and even got to get my picture taken inbetween to beautiful ladies and a signed picture from them both aswell So i say 1 great day out off 7 monnths wasnt to bad at all and very much worrth it. Thanks

My boyfriend is completely obssessed with Sophie, seriously, he looks at pics of you whenever I am not in the house. The thing is, I really wouldnt mind, you do have a great set on you, but I also am pretty healthy up top (38DD) so cant understand why he wants to look at pictures instead of playing with the real things? What do you think i should do about him?? He clearly needs some kind of reality check, dont you think?

I'm not completely sure what I am doing here, as I have not read the rules or any thing like that. One thing really bugging me though, I WANT TO BUY SOME DAMN POSTERS. I have been waiting for months now to find some official posters of this Goddess and to this day my walls are still bare. If this site posts official posters or someone links me to a site where I can, I will buy every god damned one.

im not sure weather sophie reads this or not, but here goes! early this year you visited the troops in iraq and i was over the moon to meet you never mind keep you company on the flight deck during the late night flight back from baghdad to basra. im currently in the falklands and will posted here untill the new year. im sure all the troops would love to see someone like yourself down here. so if you fancy a long weekend away dont foreget about the falklands its also a litlle safer than iraq! catch you later mark x

Okay, so the internet is down. I'm at my Mum's using hers. And she's just said the most classic quote 'I wish you had something more on your mind than boys'. I do, my new baby kitty cat, well not so much a baby, he's 5 and I got him from the animal rescue near ours. He's super cute and I gotta go home to get some love from him!! Problem with his name though, Nioki. Any suggestions? Looks like I'm moving to London, sooner rather than later! 1 month maybe. Hardly time to pack everything. I'll shove it all in bin bags, always worked in the past. Hey, look, I read ALL the messages you guys send me, but if I were to reply to all of them I'd be here all day and then I'd never drink or eat or do shoots or feed my cat, imagine the destruction?! So don't hate me, yeh? My friend and I are having a granny night in tonight, knitting, sherry, emmerdale (well, maybe not emmerdale, hate that programme) and lots of curtain twitchin gossiping. Shot for Loaded on Tuesday

So, I shot for Loaded on Tuesday, and the couple of shots I saw look good, so hopefully you guys will like them too.. How did you like the video camera shots in this months? 8 of me in one shot? Sweet! haha.. I went out with the girls from the Candy Crib on Tuesday night for a couple of drinks, Claire and Jodie. They're ace, and we had a right laugh. Those girls, I know from past experiences, can party hard. On Sunday night I went to see Keith (www.myspace.com/keiththeband) at Underground in Southport, they were awesome, check them out. I'm moving! Looking at properties at the moment in London, I've had enough of travelling there and back. So no more sunny Southport for me, but I'll be back here one day I'm sure. I'd miss the beach, ahem. And who knew I was such a good cook? Falafel (sp?) is now my forte. You're all invited round to taste my delights... (that sounds dirty, ah well, I can't help it)... UFC is on, how funny are the commentators!? They're so enthusiastic! Do we think they're all on something to keep them sounding so hyperactive? I have to invest in a Nintendo DS Lite soon, I really want to play the old school Mario stuff. As most of you know, I love the classic video games (explains the tattoo). Also had a brief addiction to Animal Crossing, which in my mind is better than most peoples addictions, but probably not as exciting. Leeds Festival was really fun this year, I didn't see many bands as I ended up celebrating my friends birthday a little too hard on Friday night. But it was quite the party, as his parties always are. So a big happy birthday shout to Nick, can't wait for the next party and completely random presents. And thanks to Tyrone for helping me to find the presents, don't forget you owe me a drink too mister. Anyway, I have to run, meeting some friends for drinks... Take care, Love Soph xxx

have just wrote the longest blog in the history of this website, but because my computer is a ho, it has a load of virus' of which one of them just likes to close down firefox. Just at prime opportunities, like when I've wrote so much the ends of my fingers have been worn down to just little tiny fingernails. Anyway, I better get remembering all the crap I was chatting at you!! Well I have the worst case of post festival blues ever! Got back on Tuesday morning. Sun, sea, sand, vodka with fanta lemon, no sleep, walks of shame, balcony fun, new funnies, the worst falafel ever - maybe cause I ate it off the floor, silent discos, sushi, the guy we met in the Franz Ferdinand crowd - legend, seeing Nick and Pirate Phil and remembering how much fun we can have when we see each other, being with my hubby the whole weekend and neither of us having to work (I mean Nicki of course, life partners!! haha), the amount of amazing moustaches out there, and the amount of men dressed as women - disturbing amount seriously. But the whole weekend was absolutely perfect. HUGE thank you to Knickerless for sorting me out. And another big thank you to Stuart and Tyrone for being the best fun and no trouble (yeh I know!! I'm Stu!! - haha).... Music wise, Pixies stole the whole weekend. The crowd broke through the barriers at the front, half way through their set, but they came back on even better. Gossip wise, I'm afraid I was too drunk most of the time to notice much that was worth talking about. Oooh but there was one very young looking band, very intoxicated, EVERY night (more than anyone else), jumping in the pool in just their underwear... So newfound muchos respect for them :D Soooo, back to the real world! I'm off for Kim's birthday tonight - think we're going for a civilised meal. I must be getting old, whatever happened to the birthdays when you'd all go round to their house the day before and start getting yourself into a royal mess, then go out and make an embarrassment of yourself? But tonight will be good because theres some friends going that I havent seen for a long time, catch up time... Later on the week is Rosy Nats birthday too, but I think this will be more of a debauched affair, last year she said her only birthday plans were to go down quicker than a five dollar hooker, but I couldn't make it so I'm not sure if those plans were realised. I'll see this year though! You got a lot of expectation to live up to missus!! I have to go into town now, well as soon as my jeans are dry, because last night I couldn't sleep in my room - it was like a green house! And my face doesnt look any different, but it feels bruised!! Maybe this is the hangover from the weekend... Late. I'm putting my house on the market today - and all potential buyers will have to be informed about what absolute dicks my next door neighbours are. I'm gonna take their cat to the rspca every day for a fortnight. They complain all the time, you'd think they'd either put up or shut up. We hardly ever play our music loud anymore, the only time is when Ben is practicing with his band and thats early - like 7pm?? They must just have nothing better to do. Look outside neighbours! Its sooo hot and sunny, get some of your own music on, get a drink and chill out. Nutters. Detached house next, fo'sho! Anyone got any book recommendations? I have nearly finished Choke by Chuck Palahniuk, my brother stole The Rum Diary by Thompson, before I had chance to read it, so I need a replacement... Any ideas? Maybe everyone give me their top 5 books, and top 5 albums of all time... That way any that get repeated I'll invest in!! Also what did you guys all think about the new muse album?????? What have you been up to?? Going to leeds or reading this year?? Think I'll be visiting the tate early next week, so I'm gonna go and check if theres anything exciting on... its been too long since I went there... Right, I'm off to sing in the shower...
